Our client currently needs Business Data Analyst positions (contract-based & remote working)
Our client, an Australian-based medium-sized multifaceted manufacturing & warehouse distribution company, currently needs Business Data Analyst positions (contract-based & remote working) to provide periodic and ad-hoc reports based on available abundance of data to assist in decision making.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will be providing the following service to our client, but not limited to:
- Collecting and analyzing data from available databases within the company's software (Pronto, Vanguard, Xero) and other various sources to identify trends, patterns and insights that can inform business decisions.
- Working with the senior managers of clients to understand their needs and requirements for data analysis and reporting.
- Developing data models and schemas to organize and structure data for analysis to make recommendations based on the data results specific to the department they are for.
- Cleaning, preparing data for analysis by identifying and correcting errors, inconsistencies, and missing values.
- Maintain the company's current dashboard reports in Power BI and SQL reports and develop visualizations of reports and dashboards to communicate findings and insights to the respective stakeholders.
- Analyze business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization and liaise with Operation Managers and CFO regularly to update on progress of tasks and responsibilities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and communicate findings effectively.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to data analysis and business intelligence.
- Ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data and analysis results.
- Ad-hoc duties as required by the CFO.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- Min. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Economics.
- Min. 4 years experience handling data analysis in fast pace and voluminous stock
- Active English communication is mandatory as daily communication will be in English
- Understand the process workflow of the manufacturing and warehouse distribution organisation
- Strong problem-solving and analytics skills
- Strong foundation in Power BI, SQL and Python
- Proficient in visualization tools like Tableau
- Experience with ERP systems (Pronto, Vanguard, Xero) will be highly regarded.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs, particularly and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines
